Aman | Teacher | 4YO Group

Aman | Teacher | 4YO Group

Hi, my name is Aman and I have been working in early childhood for last 8 years. We moved to Eltham due to my son’s high school which makes me proud to be part of this beautiful community. I am multilingual with 3 years of experience teaching Punjabi.

I believe it is important to recognise the difference in children such as their background, abilities, interests and learning styles. My role is to help guide, facilitate and scaffold children in their learning through play. I recognise the importance of family involvement and in building positive relationships with them to further support their child’s development and growth.

In my free time, I enjoy cooking, gardening and spending time with my family. I love travelling and trying different cuisines.

Amie | Co Educator | 3YO & 4YO Groups

Amie | Co Educator | 3YO & 4YO Groups

Hi, I am Amie and I work in both the 3 and 4 year old groups, which I feel gives a good connection for the children and families. I really love the community feel of a sessional kindergarten and strongly believe it helps build good relationships between the families and the kinder.

I have worked in Early Childhood for over 20 years in a variety of settings and have completed a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care. I believe that children learn through play and I feel that by offering a play based program that includes all areas of development, Educators are helping to foster each child’s interests. This helps children to become independent learners.

I look forward to getting to know each child and to assist them in their learning journey.

Brooke | Co Educator | 4YO Group

I have worked in various early childhood settings for over 15 years. My experience extends from working in preschools, long day care and in home care (as a nanny). I have also completed my Diploma in Community Services. Over this time, I have thoroughly enjoyed working with children of all ages and their families. I have found it extremely rewarding to be part of watching the children learn and develop, and gain a sense of identity over the time I have spent with them.

Being a mother myself I value the importance of children developing a sense of belonging in their environment by ensuring that they and their families feel supported, safe and valued. I look forward to developing new relationships and working together with all of the families at Wahroonga Preschool as part of your child’s learning journey.

On a personal note, I am kept busy with my two school aged boys. Our weeknights and weekends are spent training and playing sports which I love to actively be involved in. I also enjoy travelling and going camping with family and friends.

I look forward to meeting and welcoming you and your family to the Preschool.

Jayde | Co Educator | 3YO Group & Office Manager

My name is Jayde. I have been working in the early childhood sector for the last 3 years, following the birth of my youngest I changed careers chasing my dreams to work with children. While working I completed my diploma of early childhood and have now started studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education at La Trobe University with the hope of becoming a kindergarten teacher in the future.

I have found such a passion being part of a child’s learning journey. I believe the early years are such a crucial and important phase of a child’s life that provides a foundation for their future.  I value each child’s uniqueness and support them to follow their interests in their learning.

I live with my husband Nick, our 2 children Grace and Ollie and our dog Rusty. We are huge Disney fans and enjoy adventures together on weekends.

I am so excited to be part of the Wahroonga team and look forward to meeting everyone.
